Samantha has been working in overweight and obesity research, specifically with underserved communities in medicine, for the past few years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors in Health Sciences, and holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University. She is now pursuing her doctorate in Healthcare Innovation. Currently, her projects include a health intervention with homeless trafficked female adolescents, physical activity additions to the traditional school classroom to improve academic and behavioral outcomes, and designing a scalable healthy living intervention for college-age students to reduce the risk of diabetes.
